There is no point in having a website if no one visits it, right? One of the main sources of online traffic is Google search, and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) can help your website appear in the Google search results. Through a variety of SEO techniques, we can help your website rank for relevant search terms, driving high quality, qualified visitors.
(Or if you’ve lost traffic, seen your rankings drop significantly or received an unnatural links notification then we can help with your Google penalty recovery too)
At it’s most basic, SEO is really very straightforward –
- On-site SEO: Optimising your website so that Google knows what your content is about
- Off-site SEO: Demonstrating to Google how popular your site is on the internet
On-site SEO is relatively controllable. If you do the right research, set up your site properly and structure your content correctly, you can make it abundantly clear to Google what your site is about. We regularly perform Website Reviews for our clients which tell them exactly how to optimise their on-site content, and we have even written a comprehensive guide on how it works.
Off-site SEO is more tricky, as it requires you to attract other websites to link to pages on your website. These incoming links act as the main popularity signal to Google, and so the aim is to attract as many authoritative, relevant websites to link back to you. The best quality links are gained through creating highly relevant, engaging content, then seeding it to the online community who will (hopefully) link back to you.
We can help you develop your website and put together a high-impact linkbuilding campaign that will crush your competition.
Transparency & Learning Go Hand In Hand
The SEO industry has a (somewhat deserved) reputation for ‘cloak-and-dagger’ tactics – where companies will not reveal how they are generating your SEO results, just that they are. One of the reasons for this is that Google have very strict guidelines on what they consider ‘natural’ SEO, and if they catch you ‘gaming’ the system then they can simply throw you out of the search results.
We are not interested in keeping secrets from our clients. We want to show you exactly what we have done, how we have done it and why it’s important. We believe that the better you understand what we are doing, the more effective we can be at doing it.
That’s why we’ll happily share our on-site techniques, our tools, and our link building ideas – and we can even offer you customised SEO Training. If you want to take control of where your website is going, get in touch today.

The topic of SEO is complex and ever-changing, but the list below should give you a better idea of the type of work we’re producing for clients currently:
Before carrying out any work in fixing problem with your website or promoting your content, we first need to figure out if you are targeting the right terms. We analyse the marketplace, user history and search history to identify key phrases which are:
- Phrases which your potential customers are using to describe your product or service
- Phrases that signify an intent to buy or enquire
- Phrases with sufficient search volumes to generate you a return on investment
Once we have clarified which keywords you should be targeting, we go through your website and optimise each page for the desired keyword. This can include editing elements of the code, copy, images, videos, and even the overall structure of the website.
We will also go through your website and fix any technical issues and improve the load speed, which has a positive impact for both the search engines and your user-base. Of course, if you have a development team already in place we can outline all of the above as part of a technical implementation document, with a priority schedule so you know how critical each element is.
In addition to determining the correct keywords for you to target, we can also investigate areas that your competitors have targeted, and analyse the full potential of your market. We can produce full competitor reports so that you know their strengths and weaknesses, either to inform or inspire your marketing efforts. Market analysis can often uncover quick wins, untapped markets
Local SEO is about appearing for search terms with local intent (e.g. ‘Hairdresser Dundee’), or appearing on the Google Maps listings. We can help develop your online profile so that you are generations the necessary citations to compete in these verticals, allowing you to reap the rewards of this highly qualified traffic.
To some businesses, Local SEO can actually drive more traffic than normal organic search rankings, so this tactic should not be underestimated. We can also help you develop strategies for increasing engagement on local review platforms such as Yelp!
Manual Link Building
If you have a new website, gaining those initial links will make a large difference to your online traction. We can help you identify low hanging fruit to get easy links, and submit your site to niche directories. Although this is not a scalable solution that will allow you to dominate the search engines, it can help build a great foundation and start generating traffic.
Infographics & Viral Content
Another method of generating links is by producing highly sharable, ‘viral’ content, such as infographics or videos. Once we have produced the content for you, we then seed it socially using advanced outreach techniques, allowing the piece to attract potentially thousands of social shares and backlinks. Although such content would typically require a higher budget, the potential rewards can be significant.
Broken Link Building
Often considered a ‘sneaky’ tactic, this is almost a reverse-engineered version of the tactic above. Basically, we employ advanced search techniques to discover websites that contain ‘broken links’, which are simply links that no longer go anywhere. We identify the original source, and recreate the content that websites were previously linking to.
Once this is done, we then get in touch with all the sites that had broken links to the content, and ask them to link to our content piece instead. They are happy that their broken link is fixed, and we end up with links without having to generate a clever concept.
